Impressive because big bottles and tungsten filaments but probably not better than a PP of KT66 triode connected in these conditions

Triode curves here:

Thx. I see Ale was using a 46 to drive it. What did you use? Or maybe at this point I should ask if you posted a thread about it so I don't take this too far afield.

Wow! That is amazing.

Is it a prototype or a work of art you're going to put an acrylic cover over?

What are the orange things between the tubes?

I thought my breadboard was pretty neat but it doesn't warrant a picture after seeing that.

Details please?

I have a load of those Octal Relay bases.

What voltage are they good for?

They were rated at 450V and had about 300V supposedly. They were in a voltage quadrupler. I have replaced them in series instead for 900V. That should hold it.

They look like film capacitors.

Today I bought 2 9x5 chassis for my next idea and some wire blocks to make a test rig.

I also hit the jackpot and found another 572VA 120: 62-0-62 toroid for 20$!!! I needed one but it was gonna cost 114$ for a 500VA Hammond (And that's cheap compared to Digi-Key).

The 300VA was too small so now it's upgraded and kicks proper *** again!

I also bought the shelves the amp is sitting on. Now I can move in here again.

^that looks great!

Here's my build in planning, Williamson derivative with 6CG7, 6N1P, and pentode connected 12AV5GA. Spare parts build, so some creativity will be needed to make it look good. Also my first time building monoblocks in years.

Nice... I never thought of mirroring the layout on my monoblocs. That's ok though, they sit underneath one another now so it would look stupid lol.
