You're welcome.

They certainly seem to be, but that aren't all equal. The ones I linked are good ones

Question for Koda:

What gain does your Phono circuit have. I am looking for 50 - 60 db for my MC set up.

Thanks

In theory it's about 45 or so I think. A 4mV MM cartridge will hit 3VU on a 12" 45, and about 0VU on the average LP. 0VU is 1.228VRMS. If more gain is needed, the input tube can be replaced with a 6N2P (and different cathode resistors) to increase the gain.

I just few days ago put on simulator the RIAA of kodabmx and is 42 dB with 6N23P as input and 48 dB with 6N2P as input.

to SCD:
is very difficult reach 50-60 dB on RIAA pre-amp. without severe noise problem, unless you insert a step-up transformer like the Lundahl 9206 on the input that is specific for MC cartridge....all the best

Thanks guys about the phono pre-Amp;
I am going the right route in building an op amp based unit. My MC Cartridge is only 0.2mV output.
Sorry to plug up the thread

Thanks Koda:
I decided to go with an "Emerald" from RJM audio. Should have it up and running in a few weeks
