It's called body filler as used on car bodywork. In practice it very hard to get a perfect finish, re filling in holes. A nut & bolt is far easier.I made a few mistakes on my last build and was thinking of gluing some screw heads into the holes before powder-coating but filling and sanding would be much better.
Nice work Alex, where do you get your knobs? Finding the right knobs takes some doing.

Back where I used to work a very long time ago in an engineering lab, all equipment was produced with huge looms of wire running around inside chassis. Techies were actually trained in to do it....things that I personally do not do, like running signal wire from back to front, or bunching wires together just to look tidy.
For sure, it's a big chassis, I bet you I can make it half, same components.
I can do it too!
