Awesome nixie clock!

Did you build that yourself? What particular Nixie's did you use?

I have 4x russian made IN-12A nixie's that I plan on making a clock with but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thank you!

The tubes are also IN-12's. The clock control unit is a kit from Claus Urbach, when you google his name you will find his onlineshop.

The housing (aluminium and wood) is selfmade. Realising an own control unit is very complex and requires skills with programmable ICs.

Yes, that post containing the very, very nice looking aluminum faced and wooden cased nixie clock is COMPLETELY off topic.

To rectify this egregious and flagrant flaunting of the rules, I will gladly dispose of the offending item for you. Please send the nixie clock to me immediately and I will get rid of it for you (please package it with lots of cushioning and mark it as "gift" for the customs officials).

And it will serve two purposes too... I noticed the article in the background mentioning, "Fire starting on the first floor". Disposing of it properly will protect you from fire that could happen from this nixie clock (don't worry, I am a professional).

Don't laugh folks, I am hoping that this will actually work one day.

One more for the K40Y9 caps.
Much better than the chinese audicaps.
But, be careful- the K40Y9 was manafactured in many factories, so it is hard to get a good pair.

NIce offtopic, Watchtfels666! I like tubes and nixies as well:
perys | perys - Nixies ? rajce.net (power clock)
perys | perys - Jadis-JA-30_mk2012 ? rajce.net (tube amp MkII - lowered hum below -90dB)

There are few pictures of spectra measurement added for Mk_2014 version /less NFB about -2,5db only and lower quiescent current of 6550s/:
(white is PCcard background)
- lower hum -85dB @50Hz, better than -100dB other freq.
- measurement @19+20kHz and @20kHz
perys | perys - Jadis-JA-30_mk2012 ? rajce.net
