Hey Comnoz, such an animal you built!
Thanks, I have always considered myself to be an animal lover...
PSE 6AS7 Gen. Electric
Amazing tube 6AS7 Gen. Electric in PSE with wide, deep scene and awesome bass, that breaks ceramic sinks and toilets /my last project/.
Two mono amps in 1 box, with common AC from the wall and ground.

One more live record that I love. Now tell me, why do I need huge triodes with zero feedback when much smaller pentodes with nested feedback loops sound even better?

@comnoz, can you tell me where you sourced those tube retainers and plate connectors? i also have those 4-250's....
E-bay.
They were from a 1960s sonar unit chassis that I snagged for a little bit of nothing. Got filament transformers, sockets, retainers and caps. and a bunch of small parts.
first tube amp by me
This is my SE EL84 swreeeet sounding amp.I have made it from scratch, used few designs for reference and made it unique.I still can not belive how easy it is listening music on this amp.I suppose there are better amps, but this is my first tube amp I listened entire cd on it...so if anyone is thinking(like me before))should I do it or not-do not waste your time.Go for it!
Here are few pics, but the rest build data like schematic, eagle sch and brd upon request.
Cheeeeeers!

...to end up(?) as a pair of ECC40/6N6P/2xKT88 monoblocks. Countless revisions within a decade including conversion from SE to balanced input, still some things to do.
I use the same brown PIO caps myself. Nice mix of parts.
Balanced transformers of my production. Permalloy 79HM (Supermaloy). Filling silicon with an organic compound in a vacuum.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Very nice what size are they ?
These transformers are already 17 years old. I can make a new party. The old sold everything out. It remains only this photo. They were made exactly the same but in an aluminum casing. But all first of all snapped up in copper, then they were taken in aluminum too. Diameter 30mm, height 25mm, inductance of the primary winding 20H. It is possible to make and with other inductance too. Magnetic cores are also manufactured by ourselves. Winding and annealing in vacuum. The technology of manufacturing magnetic cores in unchanged form has been preserved since 1970.Very nice what size are they ?
