4 Wa is quite substantial, and the transformers are large... it seems more like The Gurernator-2 ))
I would consider a "flea" one with a half Watt power or even less. Certainly smaller chassis, also no bigger than half of standard width, and, thanks, NO less-safe capped tubes.
I've always been of the belief that 1 watt or less is flea power... So with that I give you a sneak peek at my flea power build, 6SN7 in push-pull for just around 1 watt out.

Here's a few fuzzy progress pics-
More details in the link to the thread in my signature.

Hey Wavebourn, I might have to drop it off to you to run some measurements once it's done!

According to my classification, 2 stage pentode amp in A1 with nested feedbacks is called Edelweiss. :)
Gubernator should work in A2. :)

Here is one more, 5W per channel. Military sweep tubes, were classified. :)

Love it Head. Can you post a schematic? I have a box of parts and I'd like to know if any of them would fit that build.

I first used a 6EM7 as a pre-stage.
Then a FET together with a 6SL7
The last one 2 FETs the first one in depletion mode, i like that one best.
They all run in A2

now playing.....832 pp amp, with 6DT8 voltage amp and 6SL7 long tail pair phase splitter, power supply power factor seems high so that just under 90 watts of power is drawn,,,i am still still tweaking this amp but this early seems good....the 892b and 5894 were tried in this amp and i decided to go with the 832 as final configuration...all irons, power and output traffos done by me....

You folks all do great work.

Here are my PP 300B amps. Built them in 2003.
Built the wood bases and machined and polished the brass too. Sadly brass tarnishes over time and they are a bitch to keep clean.

ECC99 input/driver. Dual 5R4 rectifiers (PS was pirated from Altec PA amps) and Harmon Kardon Citation II OPT's.

Recently added 6AU4 damper diodes to give me a nice slow turn on. Thanks to re-joining this site!

Ron

Sorry they came out sideways......

Nice looking build Ron.
Sitting on 19's , I have read a lot of your posts on the user's board.
