yes, i have 3800 pcs. of tubes to play around with...
plus, i can make my own irons to any size and shape i want, not depending of manufactured ones....
It's VERY similar, a coincidence I guess.
By the way, looking at the tube list, I guess the design looks a bit like Priboi, but just to be sure, have you got a schematic to share?

That's what appealed to me with the design, it is really a simple setup that even with being my first build I was able to understand the basics of what was happening throughout.
The online help coupled with a Dad that learned tube electronics from the Navy got me through the questions I did run into.
The blue glow had me worried at first, I hadn't seen tubes do that before.
The problem is I really want to build more but there are only so many amps a person can use

I need friends or relatives that are into audio more, then I'd have homes for more of them. I just finished an Amp Camp Amp and am (hopefully) putting a TDA7297 into a vintage oil can to give to my Dad for his garage.
The itch though is to build another tube amp.
Half of the battle there is breaking through the idea that so many have locked in their minds that 100 watts per channel is a must. I gave a cheap TDA7297 that I upgraded the capacitors on to a co-worker and he was so worried that 15 watts wouldn't be enough in his apartment. It was an ongoing conversation for the time I was waiting for it to arrive from China about 'How can I get more watts out of it?'. Every day 'what can we change to make it more powerful?' Finally when he used it he came in and said '15 watts is more than enough'.
