Re: 6c33 se amp
Hi Kenaudion !
I don't know, I'm searching for the best.
I tried 12ax7 - 6n6p
6e5p
6s3p
ef184
e180f

Till now maybe 6e5p the best, but I think not the last.
I will try 12BH7 and som tubes.
Only the output tube is fix

In the future aluminum caps for trafo and wood on the 2 side for some wainscoting !!! Hope will look sleek !
(Transformers are hand made by a friend which have a friend with little business on winding custom trafo`s .
Section is big : over 25 cm square !!!
Monofilar winding ....)

Hey Norton!
Here's a little jewel I picked up. 1940's?
It's a Norton w/DHT PPP outputs, driven by DHT PP stage via transformer.
I expect 100-200 watts. I was told it takes 845's, but a box of 838's came with it. No complaints there. Starting the documentation:

Re: 417A running red-plate
Jeez... why are you running that so hot? Those bottles will last quite awhile if you run them a bit conservatively.

It's just a proof-of-concept for a new amp and the 5842
is what I had on hand that had enough mu and low enough
Rp to be a triode spud. I decided to see how much I could
get out of the 5842 for grins and I got up to 1.5 watts out.
I like the amp but will probably use a 6S45P (or 437A ;-) in the
finished version, at a more conservative power dissipation...

Thanks you for your praise.

new headphone amp
I'm sure you can guess what this is. I added an led pilot light (cause I had one lying around), 220K resistors to reduce the input signal and used 390uF caps instead of the 150uF shown on the schematic. My three year old (and I) had a great time helping tighten the screws. Sounds great.
