Time for a winter project :)

Please have a look at my chassis placement proposal for 811A SET monoblock layout. The physical design aims are:-
  1. Narrow profile from up-front. Monoblock will be placed next to Speakers.
  2. The smallest footprint possible, but also providing enough airspace around the 811 and 5UG.
  3. Keep the OPT shielded from the hot 811, yet keep the top-cap connection to a small run from the OPT.
  4. Chassis will consist of 15mm thickness rosewood frame with a 3mm thickness sheet metal top plate.
  5. Valve bases will be mounted on an anchor plate below the top plate. Sandwich construction. Don’t want too many fasteners protruding out.
  6. The shaded squares around the Valves are minimum clearance they will have next to each other.
  7. PT home wound potted with pitch. [/list=1]Kindly suggest improvements. The view is from the top.

since you're upping for a response, here is one:
nothing wrong with layout.

but one question: why shielding opt from 811? Now the 811 is placed next to a capacitor.

If you're using paper in oil caps, I would rather place the 811 next to the opt than to the cap.

opt's are very resistive to heat.... Most are even baked in an oven to cure the resin after fabrication....
