Hello everyone,

I have to confess I am the most neophytic of neophytes, I hope you can still help me...

I have found a thread of about 6 months ago by perhellion on the Foreplay pre-amp. I am confused about one of it's replies:

I am thinking of getting a Foreplay, can I really REALLY use the power amp section of my solid state with it? My Solid state is an audiolab 8000S (60W/ch) and allows me to separate pre and power sections so I can use one of them at a time.

While I am on the subject, for a complete beginner like me, would it make more sense to use my solid state as a pre and build a poweramp or vice versa (use solid state as power and buy, say, a Foreplay) ?
