The use of hamsters as generators for alternating current is against UN Resolution 1847.

I strongly have to disagree. This resolution is only meant for hamsters in distress. Properly cared for hamsters - which means species specific housing and feeding - are excempt from this ruling. See subparagraph 112.2.a.
This also includes proper maintenance of the squirrel cage generator to avoid excessive drag..
