hi,
I'm looking for a full-wave rectifier valve that requires 5v for heaters and a current less than 2A as my transformer is rated 5v/2A,
my obvious guess would be any 5y3 and etc. but the 2A rated transformer might not be the best for the job.
I can't think of any 5v rectifier that draws less than 2A, any suggestions?
thanx.

fair point, thanx1.9 A > 2.0 A??
Best regards!
...lets hope so, its a vintage one, British-made , thanx. The 5Y3 is rated at 2A as is your transformer. If the transformer rating is to be trusted, it will be fine.
5W4GT is drawing 1,5A (if 90mA HT is enough for your needs)
