Hi,
I am going to run a bypass on my preamp to take out of circuit the balance and a stereo/mono selector. Any ideas for a supplier of high quality toggle switches, this will take the signal? Thanks |

I might have something, what exactly are you after, DPDT or something with more poles? With a toggle it's likely to be break before make,is this an issue? Any size constraints?
You could use a relay if you have a 12v or similar. Andy. |

It will receive L&R signal from after the selector switch and then take this to the volume pot signal input L&R. It will also take from after the mode selector switch and balance wheel and again send to the volume pot, so in one switch position it is bypassing the mode selector and balance, the other as normal with these in the chain.
The Pre-amp - it's an old SP8, so long flat levers preferred, but not essential. |

It's going to sit in where the old non functional outlet switch goes.

no idea why the LED is wired to come on when the power is switched on.....but I guess when the outlet switch functionality was removed it was piggy packed on

I found two multi way SW's,see pic. 1st one unknown make, 6 x DPST, 2nd one Alps, 20 contact's, buzzed it out, presume same as above.
If you just want a DPDT I have one exactly the same as the one in your link but it's an RS NOS one. Andy. |

Hey - thanks for the all help, I ordered one from RS for Ģ8 so this should hopefully be ok.
It's the gold plated contacts version :-) |

I tried to order a tumbler switch from that RS Components company here in the Netherlands.
After the purchase (I thought) I received an email from that company that they refuse to sell the tumbler switch to me because I am NOT a company also. They are selling their products to a registered company only. |
