question about my new/old tube tester

Hi All. Last night I picked up this totally rebuilt Triplett 3413 tube tester and when I got home I saw on the scroll and in the manual that these tubes are not listed: the 6AS7, 2a3, 6080, or the 6c33c tubes.

Will this tester not test them???

Don't know for sure as I have Hickok testers, but seems it should, as it at least has a 6 volt heater setting. Looks like it has a 2.5V filament setting. You might have to scour internet for the proper settings and test results.

Will it test a 6A3 or 6B4G? If so, use 2.5 volts for a 2A3 instead of 6v. For 6AS7/6080s you will have to figure out the pin connections for the lever switches. And it's a very low gain tube with low Ip. Forget about that 6C33C monstrosity. There is no socket for it and the filament current exceeds the tester's capacity.

The 6AS7 has the same pinout as the 6SN7.

Check the net for supplemental settings for later tube types.

Thanks guy. I have 20 6AS7 tubes and 20 6080 tubes for my OLT project I just pulled out of storage. I hope to be able to find 16 that are fairly well matched.
