Hi Christoff, this is a not a strong opinion about it my dear, is common sense, I guess is fine to have them.Any self-made amplifier with a Pass circuit, or with any other 300B might sound imperceptibly similar, and in the end the cost of the entire investment is a fraction of what a WE is worth. Surely you would add a pair of Tango transformers, apart from other questions that one asks when buying some of these tubes, or you would simply want to place it on an amplifier that you already have. My words are more practical than strong, if we are a predominantly DIY community and you are because it consists of other threads in which we share information and illustrate us with many curious ideas or points. Out of sight. Surely you have fallen in love with the new WE and as Bigun said, it is likely that the gradual trial of these valves creates a background that justifies a significant expense to obtain no more than 8 watt

The manufacturing plans of several WE tubes, including the 300B, and the original tungsten alloy were purchased from Western Electric. Also the right to use those plans, materials, and the right to use the WE name on those tubes was purchased.
Therefore, you probably will not get any support for an old WE RF amplifier from the current producer of WE 300B tubes.

A contributor on Audio Asylum SET forum reports he has been notified by Western Electric that his tubes will be shipping in the next couple of days.
He says he was one of the first to order and can cancel the order if he chooses to.
It looks like Western Electric decided to start shipping before the world economy collapses due to the Covid 19 Virus.

Just saw this come up: 300B's made in 2020. Too pricey for me, but hopefully, over time, WE can get the price of these down to a level competitive with the Chinese 300B's. Does anyone think that can really happen? Or is competing with China on price simply a futile and foolish thing to wish for? But it would be truly wonderful to see an American manufactured tube again.

There are several current production 300B tubes at the same price point or more. Elrog and Takatsuki come to mind. Interested to see a comparison of these 3.
