There is no problem with 6P41S plate voltage more than 500V !

hvala !!
it work fine with 7591 jj ,a little bit flat ,but fine .
I will redo the power supply and some critical capa.
I'm going to test also in cathode bias with dc balance to see, it is full of good will this amp,

I'm going to test also in cathode bias with dc balance to see, it is full of good will this amp, however, I have an imbalance between the left side and the right side,
I will inject him a signal of 1k ohm 1volt and see what it gives in output

Plate tension,screen tension,output primary impedance ?

Read first the data I have collected below. There are optimum conditions for different modes (triode, UL and pentode) and supply voltages.
The only flaw I see there is that I used only one type of OPT, i.e. Indel TGL40 (4k:8, UL 40%).

Output power is >20W with very, very clean sound and low distortion (THD~1%), and maximum power is >30W (Ia-0~2x30mA; Ia-max.~2x90mA; THD~10%).
OT is designed for full power of 30W and frequency range of 40Hz to 20kHz.

i'm realy happy !! it's true,i'm realy happy with your document !
a new project with 6p41s, (i have 4 or 5 quad buy by a friend in Georgia ).
i finish my Ami-Rowe project (realy cool project for me and good learning project)
and after, the 6p41s amp project come in .
I might need help, if so, I'll send you a mp, finally if you agree to help me (davorin and artosalo)
big thanks !

Here is the first three pages of the Russian spec that I translated a while back. The rest of the pages are the graphs which were posted earlier so I'm not posting them.

Bottom of page three shows 60W from a pair in class B with B+ of 500V.

I have been building SE amps running 250V B+ at 60mA. I have been running UL using the Edcor GXSE15-3.5K and -5K transformers. Both sound very good.

The screen can be operated well above 170V. Max listed in the data sheet is 350.

Forget the 14W plate dissipation, the tubes don't red plate until way higher than that. Looking at my notes, I hit 30W plate dissipation when they started to red plate (125mA at 240V).

If I ever get my Universal Driver Board built, I plan to see what a pair of 6P41S will do into a 6.6K UL transformer.

One warning about these tubes, they will oscillate in the 200KHz range if one does not take precautions. I put ferrite beads on the grid and screen, as well as using a gridstop resistor and screen resistor. All should be mounted at the tube socket pin.

it's cool !! thanks !! I always at home the amp that made me ask this question (7591 vs 6p41s) and I still have not found his problem even though I think I know. it's a super high-end french amp from the end of 60's, it was disassembled, then reassembled in a modern chassis without preamp, correction and phono preamp. this amp is known to have been the culmination of several years of evolution on the same schema, but also with oscillation problem and a lot of frequency and R / C cell compensation. I think I can not make it work properly, so I will remove it and look for a push pull scheme with a 6k6 primary and rebuild it. on the other hand, I finished the Ami-Rowe and it works really well

i purchased another ami r4359 and i want to try this amp with 6p41s with a grid to 190 or 200v and 350 or 370 v to plate just for learn .
any suggestion ?
i modified mine (with 7591) in triode mode and it work very fine ,i have just a little hum
but the first capacitor is too big for 5u4gb (100uF) ,i want to try with 47uf or 60uf

Sparkled out a 6P41S tonight when I turned on the latest amp. Fortunately, no damage seems to be done to the amp.

After another week or two of run In I will take back down stairs and take some measurements and post them.

I think it is running U.L. at 250Vak, 60mA Ik.
