Hello everyone from sw michigan.Pulled this from an estey organ,had 7 of them.every time I scoop up something with tubes,I learn more,not sure if it is the tubes I'm addicted to or the knowledge I gain from them..it's like crack....lol

You could well be right. I just see the oval inside rectangle label which is a Raytheon graphic and Raytheon used the word Nucleonic on the cover of one of their catalogues. 12AU7 is an American designation so the made in Spain thing could just as easily be a work around for paperwork reasons (It was done on other tubes).
Of course it could just as easily be made by someone else but I'd still bet a nickel that Raytheon figures in there somewhere.

The Philips factory code list includes S (Lampara Z, Barcelona). I believe that some 'French' Mazda and some Marconi valves may have been made in Spain - including the famous 'silver plate' ECC83. The valve shown in post 3 looks a bit like a grey version of the 'silver plate' one.
