I was thinking it'd be nice to be able to record stuff without adding an additional preamp or changing wiring around. Is it possible to add a tape output to the MC-100B? Possibly repurpose that front switch to be a tape monitor switch?
Anyone ever done something like this?

CC,
This web page provides most of the info. needed. A photo of the back panel will round things out.
Do you want to add an additional pair of jacks for the recording O/Ps or is the plan to repurpose a set of I/P jacks?

Why would I need to buffer the output?
Charles.
Many recording devices present a low I/P impedance, especially when powered off. Quite a few tubed phono sections interact very badly with such a load. Remember, the recording O/Ps get connected to the source selection circuitry and they are in parallel with the power circuitry.
I have to look at the schematic again. In the mean time, please answer my previous question about jack usage.
