Do you mean a Tubelab PowerDrive?

Its the same topology around the SF.

That is simply a cathode follower. No wonder I was confused. It would have helped enormously if you could have simply said so. That term does not appear in any of your posts. Instead you start introducing cascode pairs of FETs and how a simple 12HL7 can be used instead. Instead of what? One of the FETs, both of the FET's? No hint of the circuit being described.
