DAC out to preamp = signal loss?

I’m thinking about building a tube op-amp for my CD player but I don’t have the room in the CDP for the transformer and regulator (300V). So I’m thinking the possibility to take the output from the DAC and run an RCA cable to another box (preamp). Will there be a serious signal loss to do it this way?
