Hope this helps - I built the TSE-II (300b) with 5AR4. First cap of 47uF and have a choke (7H).

With 330-0-330 secondaries I get 377v B+. I'm using a Japanese Matsushita 5AR4.

update; my Tubelab SSE project is alive!

Right now it is in basic triode connection without feedback, it has been playing flawlessly from first power up and the past couple of days.

It sounds even nicer than it looks

I kept seeing a particular impression "quiet as a graveyard" when they describe their SSE build and it is true. No hum or buzz so far on mine, it is as quiet as my diy F5 amp.
