Default SE alternate part

The Sharp PQ5EV5 voltage regulator appears to be obsolete, and is no longer in stock anywhere, the nearest that I can find is a Microchip Technology MIC29502WT.

Does anyone have an ideas about how suitable it would be, or other parts that might work?

It is not pin compatible, as far as I can tell from looking at the sheets for each part.

Sorry about the crude drawing - grabbed a piece of paper my six year old had been scribbling on; ignore what ever the four sided figure is ...

It could probably be made to work when remotely located off the board, but you would have to do any necessary recalculations for the device.

Maybe someone else will have some suggestions for you.

PM me, I have a fix.
Tubelab, it's 5 year mission. To explore strange new tubes, to seek out new circuits and topologies, to boldly go where no tube has gone before......
