Here's a for what it's worth impression.... I bought an Elekit TU-8500 preamp kit and the sound with my SE and SSE is the best so far. It makes them sing. Previously I've tried a CJ PV8 and an recapped Accuphase C-200. I haven't tried the Elekit with the SPP yet. Speakers are DIY Soundgroup Tempests (98db).
