The coronavirus situation obviously had an impact on delivery time of the goods (in our case diy parts). I'm still waiting for items to arrive after two months (item was send from USA).
I have a hesitation every time I find something and the shop is overseas

What your experience with orders you've made lately ? Also did you have an experience where you've finally received an order after months of waiting ?
Does Mouser/Digikey/big shops have the same week or so delivery period ?

EBay purchase (16903A logic analyzer) on April 19th, shipped with tracking by USPS Priority (for $200!!!) on April 20th, stuck in Los Angeles airport for 3 weeks, now is somewhere in Canada, still not delivered.

EBay purchase (STM32429I-EVAL1 board) on May 4th, shipped USPS Priority on May 5th, is still in Miami airport with no sign to move anytime soon.

I don't understand why USPS is open for business, since they claim there are no planes to distribute the packages internationally. What about not accepting shipments, or sending them by truck (for less money, of course). Yet another shameless unionized government owned company.

Mouser has a delay time of 48 h carried directly to your home ,orders above 50€ are free shipping .One of the best services.
The world GLOBAL on a shipping is terrific ...the complexity is everyday growing
I just bought a pcb 8X8 cm Virginia USA - 15 $ to Spain = for me a simple letter . 10 days to reach the airline to EU and six distribution centres. Now the letter has a similar travel into Spain and probably a total 20 days to receive.
Coronavirus has nothing to see , if you have the tracking number your pack is making unbelievable scales Dublin,Poland ....really the best ecology .
So two months free from China is normal and from elsewhere ebay also ....

You have to look if these components vendors have a distribution centre in your country Greece . You also have TME on east Europe and RS or Farnell , look for the price . Farnell is doing something like Mouser . All this vendors are serious and delay is no more than one week.

DHL seems to be working properly. I assume from this that UPS and Fedx should operating as they have their own carriers.

I have done 1 Mouser and 2 Element 14 orders since lockdown began. Shipping from USA and Australia to New Zealand via DHL are arriving in the usual timeframes. In fact one order arrived overnight from Sydney to Auckland. Picked up 5:30pm Sydney, delivered 9:30am to my residential address in Mairangi Bay, Auckland.

My boss has also successfully used RS components since lockdown began.

I do love DHL. I find their track and trace system to be pure logisitics pornography.
Nobody seems to do logistics quite so well as Zee Germans.

I also ordered a bluetooth board off Ebay back in early April. I would expect that there will be at least an additional 1 month to the usual 2 months for China economy post to get to New Zealand.

I would like to order a pair of Jan's HV regulator boards however reports are that shipping is not going out of Continental Europe at the moment.

Vaping supplies ordered from China early February still not delivered.

50" TV ordered locally on 21 April, still waiting.

PCBs ordered from DIYAudio shop about a month ago, will be lucky to see them before I move house in July.

807 sockets ordered from Melbourne 3 weeks ago. Post says they were delivered, I don't have them.

Sheesh.

OTOH I bought 10 speaker drivers from EAD Sweden about 6 weeks ago and they arrived within 10 days.

At least in theory **cargo** planes are still flying, the passenger ones were drastically reduced.

I woud guess that there "should" be excess cargo capacity available, with Airlines fiercely competing for the only market niche left.

We have an Airbus bringing medical supplies going back and forth Buenos Aires - Shanghai flying around the South Pole/Antarctica and not straight through to Auckland (our classic Transpolar route) only for safety reasons so they are always within 2 hours flight from airports along the route.
It can normally carry 17 tons in its cargo hull, now they stripped all seats so they load extra 12 tons.

Just a real example of what other airlines can/should be doing today since they will definitely NOT fill those seats any time soon.
My point being there should be NO real cargo blocking at all.

USPS within the US may also be impacted. They just shut down the main distribution facility for Colorado and Wyoming due to infected workers. Some packages may be delayed.
No good to also know USPS, Fedex and UPS have their regional distribution facilities in the same general area in North Denver. You could probably walk to all three fairly fast. Good chance for a shutdown of other carriers.

So, in most cases express delivery from couriers like Fedex, UPS and such seems to be working, most probable due to the fact that they are using the cargo-only airplanes.
Domestic delivery I think it depends on the courier used. In Greece it seems to be working good, and I have packages send to EU countries arriving within two weeks.

It's overseas delivery that I'm worried, so it's USA / Canada (for us in Europe) and China.
From what I've read, I won'tl go for free / economy shipping or I may risk of waiting for months.

Yep, I'm waiting something from DHL and it's like unveiling the maiden :D

Even "fast shipping" is being slowed down.
I usually get pcb's from China in 5 days.
My last order took 12 days.

I received the first package of Soviet valves from the seller in a little over 3 weeks, which is about right for UKR to UK economy post.
Sometimes, the shipping has been up to a week faster.
I have 2 more orders from Romania, and Russia, ordered one and two weeks later, which, following the delivery time from Ukraine, should arrive in 1 and 2 weeks time.
:xfingers::xfingers:
Domestic 2nd class has been about 5 days for small parcels, which explains some of the delays that may be experienced buying internationally.

I finally received the goods from USA after almost two and half months (it was from a GB) funny thing tracking service still has them on transit

I'll see how fast delivery goes waiting for parts from Farnell. I guess for a DIYer it doesn't matter that much but it disrupted the professionals for sure

Russia has taken quite a toll lately, I wonder if that shows in the delivery time.

I assume that most people ordering overseas choose the national / normal post office service and with passenger airplanes not flying may take quite a long time to deliver.
Could be also size related, a small package/letter for USA is one it's way after 9 days of waiting while a big one for Italy it's still on waiting list for 12 days.

My experience so far is that in most cases, coronavirus added 4-5 days delay for delivery within continent and unknown time for overseas (I don't use services like UPS, Fedex etc for overseas)

Today both parcels ordered on the same date, from Romania and Russia, arrived at my home. Very little delay, if any.

Now I eagerly await the last order of soviet valves (from the 50s and 60s).

I've tried to buy earlier than 1980s in most cases, even though I have yet to find an issue with valves from 1980 and younger, I try to find 70s examples - when I saw 50s and 60s NOS at the same price as 80s NOS, I had to buy them!
