Glad to see you're taking drivers' vertical alignment seriously!

I also have an upcoming retro speaker in the pipeline...

I have been painting those vifa + amt speakers, they are starting to look good and they deserve it
they sound neutral and balanced, just measurements indicate, pleasure to listen to all day

then i repaired an old LED based VU meter, an old circuit, but fun to watch, one channel was not working, so it was about time to have it fixed
i ended up replacing one opamp and two transistors, i am working on getting it into foam board boxes, just like the power supply for it
i will post pics tomorrow

Started to place H2 into the box, even I am not sure where to use it in the end

That 3-way active crossover is already in use and sounds pretty transparent, so I will use it with various speakers which have no passive crossover yet, or are open in the back to adopt
Much recommended, if you find it on ebay, it was cheap
Cheers, and stay safe!

Thanks for the link. Do you know anything about the crossover used?

Btw, i have quite a few linaeum tweeters left. I like how they sound, soft and delicate. I once tried short array of linaeum tweeters with my main speakers, to match the short array of midbasses, but it was beaming too much, i ended up takind it apart.
I do use one linaeum tweeter with faitalpro midrange in small bookshelf. Nice sound.

But the p13wh vifa are special, as they require no crossover. I am pleased how they turned out.

Hello,
Crossover-he said, " You just screw that sucker on top of the enclosure put it in serie with a simple 3.3 to 4.7 uF (according to your taste) and bingo..."

I've got Vifa P13WH00-08 in Ariel Mark 3, sounds nice, Dumb Cabinet.
I didn't like the lower woofer being so close to the back wall, so I narrowed the cabinet to 7" and increased the depth-give the lower woofer some room (same volume). All mdf, rounded off all the steps in the TL, North Creek Recipe Glop on the walls, steps,TL (drywall compound + glue). Inside angled cabinet backwall,I applied silcone+pegboard+screws & lockwashers +silcone -for a constrained layer.
Stuffed with lambs wool, upper chambers-nothing in the TL's.
Listened, they sounded terrible.
Ended up with a handfull of wool in each chamber.
They sound nice.

The Vifa's are really nice, I'm using the full crossover, but there is a minimal crossover,"minimal crossover; a 2 uF capacitor in series with the tweeter, and a 16 ohm resistor in parallel with the tweeter (to damp variations in tweeter impedance)." I have not tried this.

I let the designer know I was going to build it Not to Spec, he said it should still sound nice (if they didn't they would've been in the dumpster) & I would've started over.

If I was to build them again...

2 different projects,

I've got Radio Shack LX5 & a pr of the top mount Lineaum Dipole tweeters, I like them.
I was thinking of Lineaum tweeter with Dennis Murphy's 2200hz crossover Plus Peerless 830657 with Paul Carmody's,Tarkus crossover 2200 hz- eassy surface mount no recess.

In a vented box, like this,

Or Wolf's Stance speaker in a decware DNA cabinet, chamber adjusted to 10 litres.

But for now the wife says,"No"

Lineaum Dipole Tweeter stuff,

My plan for the Lineaum was (1)time align mount fixed to cabinet or (2) tweeter in a circle base with velcro between the cabinet- angle adjustment.

"Mike Powell has his hand on the Pyra Bella 7 speaker - the top module. $5950.00/pair. The two bottom mods are stacked Bella Basso 28

subs at 3950/pair times 2 or about 8 grand. So we're up to about $14,000. But wait, you need the Passare crossover at about $3,000.

Now looked closely. What's WRONG with that picture?

Got it yet? The top module is turned drastically to the left. Mike did that while the music was playing. The was a sort discontinuity to the image, but then it locked right back in to an almost perfect soundstage. Weird."

This is my little bookshelf, using linaeum tweeter and faitalPro midbass, 5fe120, I guess...crossover is as simple as it gets, since faital has no breakups, no cil is used, and 4.7uF bipolar bypassed with high quality mp cap is used on tweeter. Sound is gentle and soft, yet pleasing. They need woofer, off course.
