Looks like they removed the "737 MAX" and just calls it 737-8200. I would call that a rebrand.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency had been referring to the 737-8200 in documents such as its 2015 annual activity report, published in June 2016, almost a year before the first ever 737 Max delivery.
This designation has frequently been included in US federal regulatory filings from Boeing and the US FAA since at least early 2017.


Also note the airline specifies what is painted on the plane.
 
A reported loss of $3.7B in the last fiscal quarter, and potential to shut down production of the 737 Max8 for an as yet undetermined duration - sounds like more than a minor blip to me. Boeing says it might have to shut down 737 Max production - CNN


If this would only affect a single company, one might almost posit it's deserved, but the ripples throughout at least the entire US economy could be "rather troublesome"
