I worked at Advanced Audio Lab (new orleans) in the 70's with an engineer that had a bench always looking that way.
He was privileged in only working with the really nice stuff like McIntosh amps and Ampex studio equipment.
He (Dwight) used those huge Tektronix scopes on roll carts. He would fill his probes with some sort of gas and smeared silicone grease on test cables. Truly a surgeon. Wish we had taken some photos. Oh he always talked about how linear the 6dj8 was.
