.....

Do you guys from UK get Dilmah tea? Not bad.

I have seen it and Sariwangi tea from Indonesia. In Asian shops.

As has been mentioned before, it is actually getting harder to find 'proper' tea in the UK.

If it hasn't got flowers or fruit in it, it's not worth the shops stocking it!!
Not only that but, for example, one of the leading brands has altered the recipe for Earl Grey, making it now with an artificial (ie cheaper) form of flavouring.
Twinnings have also stopped producing most of the 'specialist' blends in favour of those mentioned above. I even went to Sainsburys and the local one had stopped stocking own brand Earl Grey !!

Still, it does not affect me as I am an avid coffee drinker but my wife ........

Chinese Pu-erh (Pu'er) tea is all the rage with the women in my family currently. They buy whole cakes from Buy Pu-erh (Pu'er) Tea online | Valley Green Tea Australia. These are broken up in pieces to brew. Our ones have an earthy, woody aroma and flavour, and strangely sweet after taste.

Apparently the cakes are also a form of investment and grow in value with age.

I enjoy a robust decent quality plain black tea and buy my supplies from a whole foods/organic store.
I find water is critically important and use purified water boiled in a glass electric jug....ordinary tap water quality which is of course highly variable makes for a second grade cup.
Same with beer brewing where water quality is mission critical to a good brew.

the ultimate Builders tea is simple.

1 tea bag of Yorkshire Gold in an empty mug
pour on recently boiled hot water (un-softened water is best)
allow to steep for a minute
add milk of choice
strictly speaking, you also need to add sugar, but I don't

Yorkshire Gold is truly outstanding, it's a blend from 3 regions, Assam for richness, Kenya for vibrancy and Rwanda for the golden colour. And it's certified Rainforest friendly and Ethical. It's an Orange Pekoe type.
