Couldn't resist. Solid, interesting enclosure, 4.5" full range driver, $20 AU. From a decent little Yamaha micro system.

It’s only “retail therapy” if it’s ridiculously expensive. Those don’t seem to be, if you got them from Radio Electric Supply. What vintage are those, any indication?

no idea their age. The valve base says ďmade in usa 313Ē - does that mean anything ?

the seller advert says ď SAME DATE CODES - 313 (1943 OR 1953) ď

Iím sure it does mean 43 or 53 - but I donít know which. Since it was an older type, I wondered if you got some that were older than mine. These $5 12SL7ís were in with the latest batch I got from RES - 1944 WW2 surplus.

And the SN7ís were a little weird - RCAs with some sort of shield inside? Maybe carbon to dissipate heat? They work - just never seen this before. Iíve gotten NOS RCA 12SN7ís before (from Stan) and they were just a regular clear bottle.
