no idea their age. The valve base says “made in usa 313” - does that mean anything ?

the seller advert says “ SAME DATE CODES - 313 (1943 OR 1953) “

I’m sure it does mean 43 or 53 - but I don’t know which. Since it was an older type, I wondered if you got some that were older than mine. These $5 12SL7’s were in with the latest batch I got from RES - 1944 WW2 surplus.

And the SN7’s were a little weird - RCAs with some sort of shield inside? Maybe carbon to dissipate heat? They work - just never seen this before. I’ve gotten NOS RCA 12SN7’s before (from Stan) and they were just a regular clear bottle.
