Starting pieces for an indoor jungle gym for my yunguns.
Figure they'll need to burn up energy indoors during the cold months as we continue to isolate. Gymnastics rings from Amazon and a bag of hockey balls from Cdn Tire; the rest will mostly be from Home Depot.

I'm off to Borås, Sweden, 100km away to leave a rental car and will pay for the 5 days we rented it and a dash of diesel.

We had an accident just outside Borås a week ago and had to leave our car and pick up a rental. Insurance company pays 75% of the fees.

Default Got a Roland Blues Cube Stage & am ecstatic to try it tonight

Thanks to my due diligence, I found & purchased a Roland Blues Cube Stage through Electric Guitar Master's Amp Reviews. I also thought that AmpBoss' was pretty decent too.

I got a tank of fuel, and went bowling with my dad and had dinner afterwards... It was nice to bowl after 6 months of not going.

Today was a busy day of shopping for me, hours each at Home Depot and Costco.

Finally got around to doing the battery upsize on my wife's car because it's getting cold and the Costco lineups are more reasonable now. I was a little worried they might not honour their exceptional battery warranty since I did not buy an exact replacement but a larger size. Turns out the clerk was young and eager and more worried about his performance in this challenging warranty return that the store's software grumbled at, and I wound up ahead, getting a $110 credit on a battery I paid $100.

Wow, that's cheap! I paid like 220$ for mine but it's 95AH and AGM...

Yeah, Costco has great prices and an unbelievable warranty, I would never buy a battery elsewhere. They have AGM, but I never buy those. The H6 I put in my wife's car is $135 and the 96R it replaced is currently $110.

Good to know since I have a Costco membership - I got ribs there today...

I grabbed my battery from Canadian Tire... CAA also has discounted batteries apparently.

Those other places can't touch the Costco warranty, AFAIK current terms are 4 years full reimbursement and 10 years prorated.

Last night, my kitchen faucet suddenly started making a noise like a jet engine that just swallowed a gaggle of geese - BOOM BOOM BOOM. I then noticed that the side sprayer hose had developed a teeny, tiny pinhole leak at its midpoint. I could hold my finger over the leak and the noise would almost stop, but not quite.

A bit of googling revealed that something called a diverter valve was probably making the noise; the tiny leak was probably enough to trip the thing back & forth.

Since this faucet is about 15 years old & showing its age in other ways like minor occasional leaks, I decided to replace the whole thing instead of just the sprayer part. To my surprise I soon discovered that apparently kitchen faucets suck now!

After reading page after page of negative reviews, with various complaints about poor fit, cheap plastic parts, leaks & more leaks, etc. etc., I finally settled on a reasonably-priced Moen model. It's a traditional 2-handle design which I haven't had in a kitchen for ages, but damn, I wasn't in the mood to spend $400 just to get a single-handle model that works properly! Besides, the sink at my shop has 2 handles, and it doesn't bother me at all. We'll see...
