I remember fixing those. They are old as heck! (Akai cassette deck)

I thought you meant bidets before you edited it! I remember they were popular in new, upscale homes in Mtl in the 70's. Not common at all anymore in NA AFAIK.
i know this is for DIY, but i just received a used Pass Lab XA30.8 amp. it's noteworthy because almost 20 years ago, i built an Aleph 3 Clone using DIY audio users' boards. built the whole dang thing myself and even had help from Nelson Pass and others debugging a ground loop hum. it was a great experience and i'm full circle now with the new 30 watt class A amp...
love it and NP and their contribution to audio.
anyway, good feelings to everyone and i'm still in audio heaven with this amp!
btw, i'm using the amp to drive a pair of Elsinore MK-V and sometimes a pair of Kairos 3-ways, so this is technically still a DIY thread??
cheers and stay healthy!

Post 3317, Neither Canada nor the US spells tire with a Y.
That picture is from Australia. Apparently this toilet paper stupidity really got out of hand there.
At least one shop manager got pretty fed up with it:
Can't confirm this is an actual note in an actual shop though.
Quite true. However, I can attest to the fact that in some areas of the US the sign would be pronounced "tar sinner".Post 3317, Neither Canada nor the US spells tire with a Y.
A brand new Dyson V10 Animal vacuum cleaner. Got it with RBC Visa bonus points, so it didn't cost me any real money. Damn, these things are expensive! Anita nixed the X-Box and decided a cordless vacuum I could carry would be the proper thing to go with. She was a smart woman.

We got ours when it was black friday. Half price. Great vacuum. Hope it lasts.
Time for another order Magnus ...
Hey Calhoun, great deal on the vacuum. I went on line to see what they were worth. Wow! It was my first and only purchase using Visa rewards, so pretty cool. I had no idea what the points were worth.
Fonebones, nice new soldering station. How far they have come from the old Weller days with the WCP stations.

To be precise - I forgot to mention. However I just a potentiometer inventory and I miss some. However I need a 500k anti-log potentiometer and the 3K TEMPCO resistors ...
Btw I bought a precision socker spanner set at Lidl today. It was just $5 and even the quality isn't at the top, for an amateur it will last a lifetime.

I just built a 16 position 250k potentiometer. I needed one which would handle 2 Watts.
in the article:
“It’s about being clean and presentable and social and not smelling bad.”
What a load of Bulls....
People empty toilet paper supply countrywide out of pure evil.
Try to argue with me!
