And the washers are coloured red/black, then they're the insulators for the speaker output binding posts ... that's the best I can do with the intel provided.

They are for customers who purchase a Deluxe chassis with steel rear panel. Those panels are only 1mm thick and the speaker binding posts don't seat properly without a shim. Some customers previously had this problem and nylon washers emerged as the solution. These will do the job
