I am from Lancaster but now I live in Provence. I had no idea Lancaster castle had a remake elsewhere, ours is still a prison although not all of it.

Oh wow. I would love to visit Lancaster and pub crawl. Chat with the locals at the bar and when asked where I’m from answer Lancaster !

TU-8600 is an excellent emotional amp.. Please do not biamp TU-8600.
Hello Victor,

I am thinking about purchasing one of these amplifiers, but was curious as to whether there is a technical reason why one should not biamp? I was thinking this might be a candidate to power a horn speaker from 1kHz and upward, with solid state class A on the woofer below.

Cheers,

Matt.

Should I be concerned about the 10% distortion rating at 2 watts ?
I know most of its second order, but I’m not used to seeing that high a distortion number on an amp.

Also, are there any suggestions for upgrading any parts, caps etc. before building ?
