I don't know how the decision to have a particular board for sell in the store is made. I know the Pass circuits are very popular and I have built several.
I participated in a recent GB for the Doug Self preamp. I would like to nominate that preamp for store status. A really delightful pre, relatively easy build (though drilling all of the chassis holes was a bit much) and just plain great sounding.

+1 on that! There is lots of interesting projects going on here. These are the ones, that come quickly to my mind. They are either pretty generic projects (can be used for further development or technically very interesting)
