Pair of CREE 1200V 5A SiC zero recovery diodes purchased from Parts Connexion. These are lightly used (work perfect with no problems) as they were soldered in & out of circuit for comparison. $12.00 shipped to US or Canada, Pay-Pal fee included.

The Cree's have been sold.

I compared them to Harris Fred's as well as tube rectifiers in my L-W 2A3 amp.

The Cree's seem more transparent than the Fred's, but accented the highs, which didn't sound quite right in this amp.

The biggest sound revelation was changing the 2A3 cathode bypass cap from electrolytic to Solen.
