Received this amp based on JLH from somebody that put a lot of efforts in building it. To my ears it has the following caracteristics:
-Amazing and transparent mid and highs
- Unbalanced due to a soft bass
- a very slight trace of hum if you put ear next to 87dB speakers
- plenty of gain
- I believe transistors are the original ones
As a consequence i would like to part from it having no time&skills to further optimizing this.
As a qualifier for a "for parts" purchase
1)It has a beatifull and very classic heavvy chassis
2)EIZZ resistive volume control (25Kohm) value 70 eur
In short : you can decide to salvage parts and chassis for another project, or start from here to improve its weak points.
This weights 11Kg so please consider that to ship to EU it will cost me an average of 40 euro which i include in the price request.
Hence i ask for 270 EUR shipped in EU. If you feel this is not fair just make a counteroffer
