As I wrote in the second post it is 8 Euro for both. The difference ist the import tax for New Zealand, you will have to pay.

Single units can be sent as letter in a bubble envelope. No need for customs paperwork.

Yes, sending as insured letter is intended and no paperwork is needed.

But the other way round (receiving in Germany goods from outside the EU) I need to pay the VAT equivalent if its value is more than 23EUR plus taxes if it is above 200 - regardless how it is send.
And if the douane is in doubt I need to go to them to fetch it there (paperwork postponed).

But this may differ from country to country.
