SOLD

Hello guys,

I am selling my diy 6H8C(compatible also with 6SL7(only for first stage) and 6SN7 for both stages) line stage preamp.
It`s a dual enclosure, preamp in one box and power supply in another.

The power supply has tube rectification(russian 5U3C) after which we have a double LC filter done with one 15H/100ma chocke and another 10H/100ma choke.
After these 2 filters there are 2 OA2 Siemens connected in series(each one does 150V) to get a shunt voltage reg of 300V.

Then after we have another 2 RC filters that get the anode voltage to 250Vdc

The two long black caps in the middle of the power supply are 2x50uf each and are used for the LC and RC filters.

For the filaments of the 6H8Cs I use dc voltage filtered and stabilised with 7806 voltage regs.

The preamp itself uses a simple schematic I had found on the internet and this is ''Frank's 6sn7 preamp schematic'' . I am using the version that has the first stage directly coupled to the second stage, the second schematic in the attached photo.
For the signal path I use Neutrik rca connectors and an Alps volume pot.
In the preamp case I also have two giant caps(330u each if I remember correctly) also for filtering.

Because of the weight and fragility I prefer shipping inside Europe or better inside Italy.

The price is SOLD without shipping and paypal fees but we can talk about these if you are really interested.

I forgot to mention that the 6H8C tubes have been recently replaced with new ones that now have a maximum of 100h of use. I don`t use this preamp no more because I am using a solid state one that is balanced.

Regards.
