Wondering if you still have the HP DMM for sale? If yes, do you know when it was last calibrated (more specifically, I’d like to know if the internal battery that powers the SRAM holding cal data is still good). I’m looking for a better DMM than my current one....

The cal label (left down corner) shows January 2010 as last calibration date. From my experience I'm pretty sure, that the battery is still OK. If you really want to check, you have to open the meter and look for the battery and then check the voltage. The measured voltage should match the voltage that is printed or stamped on the battery. I also think the meter would show up an error message when powered up, that the cal data is corrupt.

I had noticed the same thing. The photo of the back of the DMM shows a broken seal covering one of the screws in the back panel, so I wasn't sure if someone had done some work inside the unit after the last calibration in '10.

Seems like easiest way is to power up the DMM and check for calibration error on display, as Quantensprung suggested....
