Hello,
I am selling my small combo system in order to finance other projects.
The amplifier is a F6 clone using GBs boards and Cinemag transformers. Jfets paired from DIYaudio store, case is a Dissipante 3U. F6 is a superb sound amp if paired with the right speakers, as Nelson is recommending. I biased it so it draws 180W and the case gets acceptable hot at 120F.
The preamplifier is a 71A DHT running in filament biased mode with Coleman regulators and has as active loads Ale's gyrators with 2.2uF Obbligato Premium Gold coupling caps. Rectification is hybrid bridge with 6BY5GA and SIC Schottky C4D02120A, and CLCRC filtering fololowed by and SSHV1 shunt regulator. I will replace the filament resistors with MRA12 Mills in few days.
The preamp adds that magic DHT sound to the system. Gain is adequate for the F6 creating an input sensitivity of about 1Vrms.
I found that the combination First Watt amps and DHT preamp sounds excellent, great balanced sound signature.
I am selling this combo for $1500 firm, plus shipping of about 55 lbs from 06851.

How much for just the F6 clone?
