Ah, you mean the DA20400.
There was also an A/D convertor they made too.
My advice should anyone need some is to keep an eye out for some TV broadcast gear from the time - Drake made a unit (which I saw on ebay this year but forgot to bid ) with DAC cards which have the DA20400 chip on it for example. A case of checking out every 20bit industry DAC out there to find which used this expensive chip, but which was considered the best at least objectively by engineers.
Weiss 20bit DACs from the 90s also yield results but probably hard to find in themselves.
Anything hifi or known for being a good DAC with the DA20400 is normally too expensive to break apart so you have to go for these hidden industry things instead.
