I'm building a sealed sub. Approx 90L with the Peerless XXLS 830845 driver. I'm having a hard time finding a matching plate amp. Mostly because I don't know what to look for :)

There are lot's listed on Parts-Express of course, but I really would have no idea why one is better than the other for this application.

In case it matters, musical fedelity is more importance than huge submarine explosions... (But those are cool too...)

If anyone could make some suggestions on what to look for, and some examples, that would be super groovy.

Thanks in advance.

The Rythmik Audio 350 SE will do the job very very nicely, but do you need the A350SE version? If you crossover low, the A350 will be good enough also. You decide.

This amplifier is very good because you choose if you want a 12 dB or 24 dB per octave lowpass filter to match with your main speakers. You also have a variable phase knob, variable lowpass frequency knob, Hi and Low level imputs, a variable rumble filter and thermal/short circuit protection.

PartsExpress amplifiers are good, but only the amplifiers under 250W or the 500W or 1000W version are useful to buy, because the Rythmik Audio amplifiers are better. Rythmik Audio take a typical 250W and 350W plate amplifier from the supplier or PartsExpress and modify it for better sound quality with a better ground loop and some other tweaks.

If you don't need all these features, there's Pro amplifiers that are cheap and deliver so much power it's ridiculous. But then, you must have somewhere to put the amp and you must live with fans cooling the amp.
