My subwoofer plate amp passing high freq

I just set up my laptop downstairs, with some software to have a frequency sweep and microphone to test output. I went over the crossover point with the frequency, and up to over 1kHz and my subwoofer was still outputting an audible tone.

I run a plate amplifier, what should I do?

Insufficient LP slope can lead to this, but if the source is a 5.1/7.1 receiver that also has a crossover on the sub output the two are additive and you're likely OK.

Since you had a microphone into the laptop, can you post a graph of sound level vs frequency for us?

If your subwoofer is near maximum output, with test tones you will be able to hear a bit of high frequency sounds, it's normal.
