Hello, i collect a bit Peerless xls drivers.. no Thymphany copies..
Building soon 2x "Thor" Boxes for my 830500 drivers.. they are actually new oldstock aswell.. another project i also will try is "sonosub" but with passive radiator from Scan-speak,. so 4 cabinets total.. just to try out what suits me best.. the subwoofer will be used for music, and movies.
Have also an old 1x 830452 10" with fiber dustcap and a 12 " peerless (425g) passive radiator that i will use in a passive box build im making right now..
The last one i have is a xls10 from a Gallo acoustic subwoofer.. it is playing lovely in a closed box on my stereo room at the moment.. just need to make a finish on the box.

The box is finished and are in test mode now.. really happy with the results for now, First i test it on music in my stereo room... how to describe it? very heavy deep bass punches and good for music aswell..right now im testing it in my HT room, it was a bit random finish on the box,it is not so nice.. but it is black,as what i needed..
I never have the complete subwoofer, only the driver.. but you should see if you can get out the grill, or unscrew the amplifier and check inside, probably you need to push it out if it is screw mounted on the frontside.
No grille, no amp (just a 1/4" jack).
I can't figure out how it's mounted. It may be glued. Four of the driver's mounting holes are actually tapped for threads, and the subwoofer's feet screw directly into the driver.
aha, you have this mps150 then i guess. it could be it is glued then if it still sits stuck after taking of the legs.. or have a baffle ring that is glued in to on the backside of the driver.. .on the 2 last picture below you can see the driver ia mounted on a ring that will be attackt to the cabinett.. maybe that is glued or nees to be braked up.. Can you post a few picture of your subwoofer?

So finally the Cnc machined plates for the Peerless Thor subwoofers arrived.. i had only a old drawning with the sizes of the kit, and a long distanced old man make this and deliver it for me, he missunderstod a bit.. so the boxes are 20L to big.
But, im not complainig.. im happy with them.. i will just add an extra wall inside the boxes to minisize them down to about 50Liters without the driver.. the goal is about 47Liters with bracings and driver..
The empty chamber i will fill possible with sand. my active amplifires are to big to fit in the enclosures aswell.. anyway i start to glue the bottom, sides and rear panel tonight.
I have also order a miniDsp i will play a bit with on these. View attachment 824519
