The speaker plate should be 16" × 16" (40.64cm2).
With 0.75" (19.05mm) wood, the box should be 17.5" H x 17.5" D x 22" W.
My first attempt was 17.5" x 17.5" x 22", however I can only do about 20-21" (car trunk isn't big enough), plus in your suggested enclosure I can't fit Port properly, the only way is to bend it (L-type). Taking everything into consideration inner measurements is 16" x 18" x 17.7 and the outer 16" x 19.5" x 20.5". I find it the best choice for my car. However I don't actually know about the enclosure ratios between H x D x W that is suggested in a general term to minimize resonance, etc.

Well, 16" cannot be the same inner and outer dimensions.
What is the maximum height your trunk can handle?

Yeah my bad, it's actually 17.1" H and this is maximum.
Here are the multiple ways to do a BP6P from your message.
Note, you cannot put your sub in a 80L BP6P and expect it to play sub frequencies. You MIGHT be able to get a BP6S to do something.
Understood, thank you!
