Default xls p830452 used up to 300hz?

hi all can some opne tell me the reason not to use a sub up to 300hz hevey cone ect thanks in advance, sid

Two things come to mind:

- Inductance related harmonic distortion can become a problem for voltage driven (= what most people do) high inductance (= many subwoofer drivers) woofers. See Le(x) and Le(i) on the Klippel Nonlinearity poster: http://www.klippel.de/fileadmin/klip...ity_Poster.pdf The XLS-P830452 has shorting rings, reducing this effect.

- Some subwoofer drivers have resonances at relatively low frequencies, though they can be equalized away with parametric EQ. This starts at 600 Hz for the XLS-P830452.
