The only real use of isobaric woofers are when using drivers that need huge enclosures or when you have a very specific maximum box size.

If amplifier power is unlimited, and the cost of extra drivers doesn't bother you, it can be a way to get what is effectively a huge box into a small space(for example two isobaric 18's into 2.5 cuft sealed or similar)

If space is no issue, there's not a lot of REAL advantages. Even though you may have slightly reduced thd, you can achieve the same or similar reductions in distortion without losing output if you have more space (ppsl, tapped horn etc)

Isobaric loading was more popular when drivers needed huge enclosures but had high sensitivity and power was very expensive.
