Hornresp

Thanks for shared info David #8690 #8717

It took less than one minute to find the most appropriate "manually set values" (rounded to convenient numbers).

In order to make Loundspeaker wizard flow smoother, might a ask for another small change :D

Currently after manually make optimizations using slide bar when we click on save button it will also close loundspeaker wizard window backing to the input screen, but it happen that the user sometimes wants to stay in the loundspeaker wizard windows and try to optimize even further, so do you mind to separate the function (button) "save" from "close"?

Note1: The regular button to close with X is already there in the top right, so...
Note2: it would be interesting also to deactivate the button save while the user don't change any value, so it's a visual feedback to remember the user that nothing was changed, so the button would be active only if one ore more parameter were changed.

Relaunching loundspeaker wizard all time isn't that smart, mainly when we need to confirm resonances mask and change from schematic to power or other window all time.

Hi Marcelo,

but it happen that the user sometimes wants to stay in the loundspeaker wizard windows and try to optimize even further

In that case, the Memory Store / Recall functionality should be used. Attachments 1 and 2 refer. Another way is simply to reset the baseline to the currently-optimised values by pressing the Ctrl+Alt+B keys. This will establish a new reference to compare against.

it would be interesting also to deactivate the button save while the user don't change any value, so it's a visual feedback to remember the user that nothing was changed, so the button would be active only if one ore more parameter were changed.

I will give it some thought.

Relaunching loundspeaker wizard all time isn't that smart, mainly when we need to confirm resonances mask and change from schematic to power or other window all time.

It necessary for the loudspeaker wizard to be relaunched each time to bring in any changes made on the main input window, and to re-initialise particular baseline settings.

To remove the resonances prompt message, use the Tools > Options menu to permanently set the required masking option.

Press the P key to directly select the power chart.

Kind regards,

David

in pa community in thailand. a few times that they learned about hornresp course from paudio in a few meetings. i saw a few people in diy group can use it but they did still not use it good enough. it seems a bit difficult for lot of people :)

This is a typical result when one goes into something with the mindset of making something happen rather than learning what the possibilities are.

I copy/change it to .rtf to change fonts color, bold, etc., just wish the hot links, FIND feature came with it.

Hi GM,

The Hornresp Help file was set up to be exported as a text file using the File > Export menu command. Once exported, the file can be opened in Microsoft Word for editing, highlighting and reformatting as desired, and then saved as a Word document (*.doc) file for future reference.

Word has a Find feature :).

Kind regards,

David

simply install a PDF-Creator, which works as a printer device... This way you can make PDFs by simply printing from any windows application... More recent Windows versions have a Microsoft ODF Printer installed. Or try openoffice / libreoffice - which has build in PDF Export.
The times where you have to spend a lot of money buying microsoft acrobat to get a PDF are over for at least a decade, its very simple nowadays.
