Post your Solid State pics here

I am very happy that I finally managed to finish this project with TSSA V4 amplifier. I made a dual mono variant, with 2x52VAC / 1000VA transformer, with RIFA PEH169 capacitors. Very detailed, huge dynamics, fast bass and fist, I just love it.

Great work . Are you planning adding more Rifa in the future (there is room for them) ?
IIRC you are southern too, so it will get hot in the summer days.

KX amp

I finished 'boxing' the my KX amp (by Bonsai here on the forum), and thought I would post some garage pics from the build.
I's a true DIY chassis made from steel sheets and recycled heat sinks. PS in in a separate box hung at the back. Perforated steel sheets used to give good ventilation for the internals.
I made my own version, which is dual mono with linear supplies to the outputs, and separate rectifiers/caps with ripple eaters for the front ends. 2x250VA Toroidy transformers and 33mF/channel.
Soft start using a resistor bypass relay sensing the main caps voltage tuned with zeners in series with the relay coil.

Bias selector switch hidden under the amp below the front panel.

I will still add primary fuses and some power LED's to the front plate. I'm thinking maybe a redesigned front plate in the future too. There will most likely be other modifications and tweaks too. Maybe less OLG and more OLBW..

I would describe the sound from the amp as detailed but smooth, no listening fatigue so far. Controlled and effortless bass. Sounds good with all types of music at reasonable listening levels.

Rallyfinnen, does it sound as good as it looks?

I think it sounds better actually, the detail finish it not so good on the build, but it looks a bit mean from a distance.
I think I have to live with it for a while to and do some comparisons before I say more about the sound. As mentioned before, I would be interested trying some mod to the open loop gain and bandwith in the future.
