Default Marantz Pm4400 Mod

Hi there i am new to this forum. Would like to ask you people out there if it is possible to mod the amplifer?

Thinking of changing the caps there to better quality caps but of the same value. Do you think it will make any difference?

Taken apart the amp and here is some of the info i got ...

Psupply - 2200uf 25v, 6800uf 50v, 27uf 25v, 100uf 16v 3.3uf 60v.

Sorry, can't seem to find the service manual on the net

Hi mingyuan86,
The first step in modifying anything is to get the service manual (at least the schematic!). You must understand the circuits first. You can't expect to throw some parts at an amplifier and expect improvement.

I've personally witnessed several products damaged, damaged severely and damaged beyond repair. Sometimes within the warranty period. So approach your amplifier with some respect and a good understanding of how it works. Do not believe everything you read or hear.
